Orientation for January 2009

Orientation

Incoming students are required to be on St. Kitts eight days prior to the beginning of classes in order to participate in “new student orientation”. Each Semester’s Orientation includes a series of activities designed to introduce students to the University, the profession and the island. In order for students to be academically successful cultural integration and adjusting to the environment must take place. An important component of the orientation program includes the discussion of the Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator.

We wish to make the Orientation week an extremely positive experience!

Comments From Our May 2009 Orientation.

  • Orientation was a great transition into life on the island and a wonderful mix of fun and school.
  • My overall experience was positive. I would like to say that the helpfulness of the orientation leaders and their concern and support was one of the most positive part of the orientation.
  • I liked all of the time spent bonding with classmates. The movie, the catamaran trip, the leadership groups etc. were all great!
  • Orientation was a great experience to learn about the island and school , and it has made the transition comfortable for me.
